Voskins is an eyeglass manufacturer based in Montreal, owned by An-ton-Thran.
WHAT I AM DESIGNING?
The brief was to design a responsive website and create a brand for Voskins eyewear.
Located in a concidered "classy" spot in Montreal the brand had to represent and translate that aspect visually.
HOW AM I DESIGNING IT?
I had to make the website look very corporate to go with the launch of the shop. The client asked that I implement the following elements to the site: Philosophy, Contact section, About section we introduce the owner of the shop and the different services they will offer.
The main goal of this site and the brand is to give the craft feeling which represents Voskins. It was also really important to put the emphasis on the eyewear service more then the optometrist service. But the optometrist service should still be present, but not the main focus, they wanted to sell the products more then offering services.
WHO I AM DESIGNING FOR?
The owner of Voskins is a young optometrist is a "trendy" district of Montreal. He wants clean and minimal design, with a raw material aspect to it. The "industrial" touch the design was also something important. The people who come in this store to buy the glasses want to stand out from the rest with their attention to detail and style, and a "vintage touch".
